Breath: The Key To Self Mastery

We are living in a hectic time with a lot of emotion coming to the surface.  We are also living at a time when there is an abundance of light available to us, from the higher realm, ready and waiting to assist us.  

We simply need the know-how for accessing our Light, to open up our hearts and to connect with the abundance of light streaming all around us.  Once accessed, we can bring it into our bodies.  

There can be consequences and high costs involved when we ignore or fail to heed the body's warning signs.  Warnings are often signaling us to pull over to refuel.

 -- We must stop & pay to refuel our cars with gasoline, but the breath costs us nothing.  While breath is free, there's still a charge if you want it:  conscious breathing gives us a full charge!  The indescribable healing charge of cosmic energy.
 
While breathing is a gift, freely received, requiring little to no effort, it has a special feature.  Unlike the heart, the lungs, and our other major organs that automatically operate our bodily functions, the breath can be controlled manually, willfully, mindfully.

We come into this life with a preprogrammed, pre-determined packaged amount of breaths before our final expiration.  

The breath is a unique gift, a specific tool we can consciously use to access spirit -- to gain a sense of control and mastery over our lives.


Accessing our higher Light with our breath can help us cleanse and clear negative emotions that are making us feel uncomfortable and in pain.  

Learning how to ground and release energy blockages is easier to do when things are going well.  So practice is key.  Daily, consistent practice will make release possible for when we are caught in tough times.

Connecting with the ocean of Light above and rooting, or anchoring light energy, deeply into the ground beneath us, brings the self into alignment with Source energy.

  • ​Alignment brings a sense of flow and ease -- providing space for connecting with the higher Self to overcome life's difficulties --to choose not to engage and resist but rather to see things with love and to be open to learn.

The breath is a convenient tool that's readily available to help us, to help us take a step back, to observe, and to choose how to respond.  With focused practice, the breath can serve as our alert system, much like the warning lights in our automobile, reminding us when it's time to pull over to refuel.  While we may not like paying for gasoline, we must pull over and gas up when the red light indicates.

  • Owning each present moment is possible by using our breath which can help reframe how we see time.  As we clear blockages keeping us from realizing our full extent or capacity for love, oneness, and compassion, we become more loving and compassionate.  A more loving self can observe how thoughts or mistaken beliefs are acting as thieves, stealing our time -- draining our prana, taking our breath of life.

But freeing ourselves from becoming prisoners of time takes conscious action in order to bypass the thinking mind.   We are free to choose.  Sometimes we forget. Making necessary changes -- noticing patterns of thinking, mistaken beliefs -- is difficult to do from the mind. We need to use the breath to access the body, to get to the heart.

Today can be the first step towards honoring yourself.  And it all starts with attention to your breath.  
  • Throughout the day, pay attention, become aware of how you're breathing.
  1. Is your breath shallow and tight, coming in and out from your mouth?
  2. Is your breath up high, in your neck, shoulders, and upper chest?
  3. Try breathing in from your belly.  Focus on breathing in and out from your belly.

Keep your attention at the belly.
Consciously practice breathing from the belly.

  • Get into the habit of taking mental breaks using your breath.  
  1. Practice taking in a deep cleansing inhalations from your nose, and then forcefully exhale all the stagnant energy from your mouth. Repeat this three times.  
  2. Practice breathing in deeply from your nose (on a count of 4), and then exhaling slowly from your nose (on a long count of 6).  Continue breathing in and out from your nose, focusing on your breath (in for a count of 4, out for a count of 6) for a cycle of ten breaths.  As you breath, gently lay your hands on your belly and feel the belly expanding like a balloon on the inhalation  and contracting into the spine on the exhalation.

Your breath will help you calm down,  and down-regulate, activating your curiosity.  A calm body tells the mind to chill out.  When we're feeling good, the mind is excited to explore new terrain, to step out of the box, assisting you in peeling back the layers in joyful discovery of the power that lies within.

The breath frees . . . the breath allows . . . discovery of our inner jewels

    Life-time student, grateful wife and mother to three boys (26, 23, 18) and a loyal, loving Parson Russell Terrier (9).  

    Blessed to spend nine years living out on the West Coast in self-discovery.  Years that brought well-needed space and recovery -- healing, perspective, appreciation and balance -- providing readiness for returning back to the East Coast (since 2013) in order to care for elderly parents and to pursue my  true work.  

    Thanks to Eckhart Tolle, Bikram Yoga, Guru Paramahansa Yogananda & SRF, running, writing, and doTERRA essential oils as they have been instrumental resources/tools for realizing and rediscovering who I am -- helping me to become aware, to find strength, balance, and inner peace.  

    I am most grateful for divine guidance and timing as the universe aligned me with Dr. David Berceli, gifting me TRE®, the perfect complementary healing modality that is allowing me to take healing into my own hands.   With consistent TRE practice, I am currently completely pain free and feeling calmly energized, grounded, and empowered.  
    It has given me resiliency so that I am now able to thrive rather than simply survive. I am now navigating life's challenges with greater ease and grace.   

    Recently, I trained with Don Conreaux, Master of the Gong.  I am incorporating sound healing into TRE sessions, also emphasizing breath work, visualizations, affirmations, and aromatherapy.  This work continues to amaze me as it is so simple, yet so powerfully effective!

    My life mission is to help others to access their innate healing powers so to ground the soul Self so one can become self-supporting.  

    ​My work is an extension of my joy and appreciation for everything I've experienced, suffered, and learned and uncovered, especially between 2007 until now.
