I am passionate about self-healing and empowering others to learn how simple it is to take healing into their own hands.
My work is all about creating safe space for others to rediscover and to tap the secret "Jewels" within. My mission is to inspire and to empower sincere seekers to heal themselves with simple tools for self-regulation. In the process of re-discovery, I am very passionate about education . . . as we learn how to become confident, purposeful, serviceable, fulfilled beings, we recognize that life doesn't have to be as hard as we were conditioned to believe. We can find a sense of freedom and independence, financial and otherwise. We first must shed old beliefs lodged deeply within in order to cultivate newfound Self-BELIEF. This process involves recognizing newfound energy as Source and the Self as the ultimate Resource.
My life mission is to help others to access their innate healing powers as I have had to do to heal myself. As a relentless worker and researcher, I've acquired tools for grounding my Self. In time and with daily devotional practice, I've gained the self trust necessary to toss the research in order to focus on the ME SEARCH. Yes, being selfish is necessary folks. It takes being a little selfish to become more self-supporting. Because of this, I am now able to hold sincere, authentic, compassionate space for those seeking to learn how to trust themSelves.
My work is an extension of my joy and appreciation for everything I've experienced, suffered, and learned and uncovered, especially between 2007 until now.
As a successful teacher and head of private learning centers, College Bound, for over fifteen years, I've taught and counseled students in preparation for college. I worked tirelessly with students of all ages, advising them and their families how to navigate the stresses of the educational process.
THE STRESS and TRAUMA among my students and their families (including anger, irritability, violence, addiction, eating disorders, attention deficit disorder, learning problems, emotional distress, as well as suicidal ideation and suicide) propelled me to pursue Counseling Psychology. As a counselor, I've worked extensively with at-risk high-school students in Alternative School Programs throughout Pennsylvania while also bringing counseling back to my clients at the learning center.
Like many of my clients, I've suffered from chasing Ivy League degrees and amassing a resume of credentials that led to living a life that's out of balance. Witnessing the effects chronic stress and burnout were having on my clients led to suffering vicarious trauma as a result of working relentlessly in high stress on a daily basis. Major burnout led to frequent illnesses and injuries, Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV), and a state of prolonged chronic fatigue.
It was in 2005 that vocal polyps would steal my voice. Intensive vocal therapy combined with breath work and prescribed rest restored my voice in order to avoid invasive throat surgery. It was here that my journey into healing and self-discovery would ultimately begin.
My personal healing journey is a daily pursuit--I work towards personal growth and self-discovery, always thirsty to learn. I study. I implement. And I am sincerely devoted to helping others. Marathon running and triathlons helped me to find my rhythm, Bikram Yoga helped me to merge my mind and body, and focused awareness of breath prepared me for meditation and led to receiving initiation into Kriya Yoga, Along the way, I discovered the amazing healing benefits of doTERRA essential oils and incorporated better nutrition along with the 21-day Standard Process Purification Program.
But despite my consistent efforts, including regular chiropractic adjustment, acupuncture, deep-tissue massage, foam rolling, stretching, and trigger-point injections, I continued to suffer with chronic fatigue symptoms, fibromyalgia, frozen shoulder, a constricted diaphragm, and severe TMJ.
Until 2016 when I discovered TRE® . . . a missing link to my healing process. TRE allowed me to release the deep inner tension triggering my anxiety and physical symptoms. The results were immediate. After an initial three-day training module, my sleep improved significantly, my diaphragm opened, and my neck pain completely disappeared. For the first time in years, I felt relief. I went from feeling like a hopeless victim to feeling calmly energized, hopeful, and empowered!
Experiencing drastic results first-handedly led me to pursue an intensive one-year TRE® training program so that I could empower others with this tool. It's exciting when clients tell me how empowered they feel with the help of TRE. This convenient tool is being used to access the Self for bringing about healing, for unearthing hidden talents and for discovering newfound joy and enthusiasm for service and creative endeavors. Most of all, this life-changing and dynamic process invites embodying spirit and soul within the physical body in order to open to the experience of the highest levels of the true Self in Divine unity, for living from an awakened heart-felt consciousness.
I consistently use TRE as my go-to tool for keeping stress to a minimum and for allowing other complementary healing modalities to work more effectively. TRE® is the vital component in re-discovering my Self, and it has been the impetus for true work -- helping coach others along their own healing journey, empowering them with the know-how for taking healing into their own hands. There is nothing more satisfying than witnessing individuals moving back to health and happiness quickly and efficiently.
In 2017 I felt the need to pursue sound as a necessary nutrient to add into my overall healing and wellness regiment. I trained with Master Don Conreaux, a fellow Kriyaban and disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda. I incorporate gongs, crystal bowls, tuning forks and other sound instruments for bringing specific healing frequencies and harmonics. These methods, coupled with TRE, progressive relaxation, visualization, color & light therapy, breath work, along with essential oils, create a unique, powerful restorative program. The combination takes clients on a personal journey, providing opportunity to experience re-connection with the Self. Additionally, I've added chanting, toning, and overtone singing as ways to resonate sound throughout the body.
I am also an Integrative Nutrition Coach, BEMER Provider, and am currently training with Dr. Kae Thompson-Liu, the developer of VoiceBio©™. VoiceBio©™ is a unique diagnostic, screening tool which assesses both an individual’s physical and emotional energetics, and the relationship between the two. This relationship is important in determining lifestyle changes because it is often the emotions which affect physical balance and vice versa. Understanding this dynamic makes it clear that someone seeking to improve visual health without addressing fear issues will face a losing battle. And someone wishing to become less codependent will find it next to impossible without supporting related physical body systems.
I AM excited about building a TEAM of empowered, eager, grateful participants who are ready to receive continued education and training in order to help serve the greatest number of people. I am building a solid core of apprentice-ships with committed, capable, sincere students. As these students release limiting patterns, they are becoming ready "to journey." The Journey-man phase is where one commits to consistent practice, with the hope of becoming a teacher, helper, healer. The final destination is Mastery. In this stage, one is able to create a personal program or teaching for which to share with others. We cannot help/serve or hold healthy, safe space until we do our work, consistently. We must WALK OUR TALK!
Life is abundant. Believe, and YES, truly receive! My CORE curriculum is one that will enable one to SOAR freely into re-discovering personal power. As we step into authentic power, we realize purpose and meaning and allow the Universe to assist us.
I feel that it is important to mention that I have firm faith in God, and my work is to serve Him. I don't want to use sound, light, or essential oils as ways to bypass God, but instead, I see them as access tools for reconnecting to Source. My goal is to invite everyone into greater Faith. Many clients come in search of faith. They lack trust. They may feel lost and defeated. Many are disillusioned with life in the material world.
I can relate to doubt. I needed the ten years of living out in San Francisco to lift from the rigidity of my formal religious teachings. I needed to directly experience God in order to truly understand. I was brought up Catholic and received my sacraments. I believed God was something outside myself; someone or something to be feared. I was afraid that if I got too close to God that bad things would happen to me (as I witnessed in the lives of the Saints). I believed that I had to go to church or confess my sins to a priest if I wanted to talk to or get close to God. I needed to shake these mistaken beliefs.
Ironically, It took moving across the country to San Francisco to get the opportunity to challenge my Catholic upbringing and rigid beliefs. Interestingly, it took a Hindu Guru, Paramahansa Yogananda, to rekindle an intimate Christ connection and to fully experience the Holy Spirit. Yogananda taught me how to personally experience God directly, through the scientific method of Kriya Yoga. He showed me how to awaken Christ Consciousness within and how to truly live "Heaven on Earth," here and now.
Appreciating my Catholic faith is much akin to how I learned to appreciate English. It took a masterful seventh-grade Spanish teacher to really teach me English. She so succinctly conveyed parts of speech, forcing me to compare sentence structures of the Spanish and English sentences. She beat English grammar, syntax, and semantics into me with mantras and repetition . . . so much so that I gained newfound appreciation for the beauty, complexity, and uniqueness of the English Language. In this same manner, it took a Hindu Guru to awaken a newfound appreciation of my Catholic Faith and to inspire within me such profound love for God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit and the Blessed Mother.
It is my hope that those who are non-believers feel safe with me as I wish not to force any beliefs upon anyone. I only wish to empower my clients/students with tools for self-regulation. In sacred, safe space we learn to trust; with daily, consistent practice, self trust develops . . . eagerness is reborn . . . and then. . . ACCESS . . . to hope, to faith, to MORE.
The same faith I have in mySelf, I have faith in YOU.
